Computer = Toast
It is official; my computer died! It had worked for quite awhile in a lesser mode at a much reduced capacity. Now it is not booting in any mode at all. Cest la vie; cest ca. I really, really hope I can retrieve some of my files from the auxillary backup drive.
It is off to the computer store, I am going.......to see how cheaply I can get last years model.
I hope all is well out in blogland; I also hope to be a contributing member to it again soon.

Oh no! I'm sorry, Norm. I hope my email wasn't the tipping point. (See why I don't email people?? LOL!)
Happy shopping. I hope you find exactly what you need/want at exactly the right price.
ah,toasted computers are not much fun, hope you find an affordable replacement soon
in the meantime, live well outside blogland :)
No, no Robin, I'm quite sure you aren't at any fault here. I think I was my own undoing by letting my virus guard lapse for a day or two. Who spends their time writing virus code anyway??
The ad I responded to was a means to fish people into the store and anything worth having was over my budget.
I'm thinking now of having a friend replace the C: drive; they've come down in price so much now that it seems the way to go.
Kel, Robin - good to hear from you both. Life is busy AND good - hope is with both of you, too.
Any luck yet on the computer front, Norm?
If you lived a little closer, I could have my youngest son build you a computer at a decent price. He's very good at that sort of thing (he built mine and his).
LOL - If we lived a little closer I would take you up on that offer!!
No luck as yet but I have a couple of options to follow through on and explore.
Patience is a wonderful virtue but finite.....I continue to work on that, too. I want it all now!!
