Night Skies....
... seem to be turned upside down. It has been a couple of months since I had a good look around... however, Cassiopeia is overhead and Orion is lying over the eastern horizon. The positions seem way off.
I did pick a good time for a fresh air break; in the few minutes I was outside I saw a shooting star and a satellite passing over.

This might be an odd request, but I'd love to see a picture of your night sky.
I'm always astounded how much the view overhead can alter with just a little distance.
I'd love to get a decent shot for you but I tried that last summer with my old SLR on the tripod and all. Left the shutter open and let the earths rotation drag the stars across the viewfinder. It didn't turn out as well as I had had it before.
I posted that at 4 a.m. so that should approximate what you would see at 1 a.m..
When we got back to the house a little while ago I got a fix on the big dipper and north star to get myself oriented. It all makes a bit more sense now.
